In July 2000 "Summer Music Academy" first was presented on the basis of R.M.Glier Kyiv State Music College. The program of "Summer Music Academy" provides all-round improvement of students' professional training, offers a complex of subjects, which is a base of practice activity of performer. Students have an opportunity to play solo, with orchestra, and with Chamber Ensemble, as an accompanist.
Offered in the program of "Academy" classes "Orchestral Studies" are particular popular. Last season 23 concertos for piano, violin, viola, and flute were performed, accompanied by Symphony Orchestra of Chernigiv Philharmonic, conductor - Honoured Worker of Arts of Ukraine Mukola Sukach and Professors of "Academy" Mark Lakirovich (USA) and Victor Abramian (Russia).
Performances of students studying accompaniment classes became an adornment of the concerts. Creative contacts and performances with singers-soloists of National Opera House of Ukraine, National Philharmonic, Ankara Opera Theatre undoubtedly enriched professional skills of young performers.
With a big interest young representatives of various national perform schools mastered Ensemble playing. The program of the Academy offers students wide and various perform practice within the framework of festival Kyiv Summer Musical Evenings. The concerts take place in a beautiful hall under the open sky on the River Dnipro's slopes and gather thousands Kyivers and guests of the capital of Ukraine.
Two weeks in July become unforgettable for participants of "Summer Music Academy". Intensive classes, collaboration with outstanding tutors, concert performances are real events for young performers and admirers of musical art.
International Charitable Fund of Vladimir Horowitz competition permanently supervises professional growth of all students of Summer Music Academy by engaging them in concerts, festivals, master-classes and art events.
Summer Music Academy 2001

From 14 to 29 July 2001 the studies in Summer music Academy were carried out on the basis of R.M.Glier Kyiv State Music College. Master-classes were carried out on three specialities: piano, violin, cello. The course of the Academy consisted of:

In the lessons of the Academy 41 listeners took part from Ukraine(24), Russia(3), Turkey(5), USA(6), the Netherlands(3). The musicians performed successfully within the framework of festival "Kyiv Summer Musical Evening" which carries out on the Summer stage of Central Park and gathers a lot of grateful audience, admirers of classical art.
During 6 evenings the listeners of the Academy performed solo programs(Bach, Mozart, Rachmaninov, Ravel, Beethoven, Chopin, Veniavskiy, Shubert, Lalo, Sarasate, Liszt, Mendelssohn, and others), shown playing in ensemble.
The concerts were rendered with accompanied by orchestra "Philharmoniya" conducting by N.Sukach. for piano with orchestra: Chopin, Mozart(d-moll, F-dur, f-moll), Haydn(D-dur), Beethoven(C-dur), Greeg(a-moll), Tchaikovsky(B-dur), Saint-Saens(g-moll), Bach(E-dur), Liszt ¹1 and ¹2;
for violin: Mozart(D-dur);
for viola: Stametsz(B-dur);
for flute with orchestra: Bach(h-moll).

2002

Summer Music Academy 2002 started in July 14.
Students from from Great Britain, Holland, New Zealand, USA, Scotland, France, Turkey, Yugoslavia, Russia, Ukraine took lessons at the Academy.
