PianoWARREN THOMSON, OAM (Australia)Warren Thomson has been very active as an Artisric Director and the Chairman of the Jury of the Sydney International Piano Competition in Australia (1990-1996) and Founder and Administrator of the masterclasses in Conservatoire of Sydney (1974-1995). He is a first professor of scientific society University-Conservatoire of Sydney. Examination Council in New Southern Wales State (1980-1995) and the Member of Australian Music Examination Council. Professor Thomson works as a Consultant in the Australian Institute of Music and he is currently Director of the City of Sydney Cultural Council and Chairman of its Music Committee. Professor Thomson gained great authority, that is testified by his presence in the Jury of such well known International Competitions as Tchaikhovsky International Competition, Moscow (1982 and 1990), Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition (1991), International Competition in Cincinnati (1993), Hamamatsu International Competition (1994), the 1st and the 2'"' Horowitz Competition in Kiev (1995 and 1997) and Krainev International Competition in Kharkov, Ukraine (1996) among many others.
In 1995 professor Thomson was made the Honorary Member of the Tchaikhovsky Society in Moscow. In 1987 he was awarded the Order of Australia Medal for his contribution to music culture.
VALERY KOZLOV (Ukraine)Valery Kozlov, Merited Artist of Ukraine, works as a professor in the National Music Academy of Ukraine. Obtained musical education in Saint-Petersburg and Kiev under the guidance of well known pianist, artist of Russia professor T.Kravchenko. In period between 1983-1984 attended practical studies in Moscow Conservatoire in the class of National Artist of Russia, professor L.Vlasenko.
Having started his career as concert pianist in his student years, by the end of his post-graduate course he has had many concert tours within Ukraine and beyond its borders. Repeatedly was giving performances with symphonic orchestras and such famous conductors as Bennett (Canada), Yanson (Norway), Coucher (Australia, Ukraine) Most of his fund recordings are in the use of many Ukrainian Radio stations.
Students of Valery Kozlov are laureates and diplomants of such known International Competitions as ARD (Germany), Chopin Competition (Gettington, Germany), Pier Lantier Competition (France), Dadly Competition (England), Fina b Ligurc (Italy), Rakhmaninov Competition (Russia), Krainev Competition (Ukraine), Horowitz Competition (Kiev).
Among Kozlov's graduates there is one laureate of International Competitions, Merited Artist of Ukraine, professor of Music National Academy of Kiev, Yuryi Kot. Kozlov's students regularly give performances in prestige concert halls such as Principal Concert Hall of Conservatoire of Moscow , Principal Concert Hall of Saint-Petersburg's Philarmony, Lysenko Pillar Concert Hall among many others. Valery Kozlov sat in the Jury of Krainev International Competition for young pianists, in 1995 and 1996 worked in the International Summer School of madam Maria Yasinska-Murovana.
ADAM WIBROWSKIAdam Wibrowski received his musical education with honors and diplomas from the Superior School of Music in Kracow, Poland and the Sorbonne in Paris under the guidance of Professors Stefanski and Yvonne Lefebure, respectively. He took the First Prize in the Polish National InterConservatory Piano Competition in Warsawa, received the Diploma of Honor in the Maria Canals International Piano Competition in Barcelona and the First Prize in the Union Francaise de Artistes Musiciennes Competition m Paris. In 1979, Professor Wibrowski was one of only two awarded a French national Professorate m Keyboard and Chamber Music, the highest professional diplomas in the French National Conservatory system. His professional activities include recitals, chamber music concerts, television. appearances, pedagogy workshops, master classes and lectures throughout Poland and France, as well as in Italy, Portugal, Canada, Netherlands, England, Japan, and important musical centers in the United States. He is a frequent member of such prestigious international juries as the Gina Bachauer, Johanna Hodge Gilmore Festival, Montreal, Warsaw, Darmstadt acid Arthur Rubinstein competitions. Adam Wibrowski teaches in France at the National Conservatories, formerly in Grenoble, and at present, at St. Malo in Brittany.
VICTOR MOSKHALENKO (Ukraine)Was born on August , 25 of 1940 in Artyomosk, suburb of Donetsk. in 1965 graduated from historical-theoretical
department of Hlynka Conservatoire in Novosibirsk, and in 1971 got postgraduate degree in Tchaikhovky Conservatoire in Kiev. Professor of Musicology Theory Chair in Conservatoire Conservatoire conducts his own course readings, devoted to such topics as "Music interpretation and analysis of music works". In 1972 he defended his master's thesis devoted to the "Principles of folklore transformations in contemporary symphonic music" and in 1994 his doctor's thesis "Theoretical and methodical aspects of music interpretation*. Member of Ukrainian Composers' Union, author of monograph "Creativity aspect of music interpretation* and many articles in scientific collection books, magazines and newspapers.
BORIS ARKHIMOVICH (Ukraine)Was born in 1959 in Kiev. Having graduated with Tchaikhovsky Conservatoire in Moscow (class of Jacob Flier), which he excellently graduated from in 1963 and attended post- Boris Arkhimovich works at Tchaikhovsky State Conservatoire in Kiev and in Lysenko Kiev Music School since In 1974 for political accusations he was deprived of his job and his rights were restored only in 1990.
There are students of his class, who became laureates of various International Competitions. Since 1992 Boris Arkhimovich is at the Head of the Piano Department of Lysenko Kiev Music School. Regularly Boris Arkhimovich appears on Ukrainian TV with his program "Art Maidan" about great performers of classical music
DINA JOFFE (Israel) Professor of piano department of Rubin Music Academy (Tel-Aviv, Israel), currently invited as Guest Professor to teach t0 tne National University of Arts and Music (Nagoya, Japan). Originally from Riga, Latvia, Dina Joffe studied at the Tchaikhovsky Conservatoire in Moscow in class of Vera Laureate of such International Competitions as Schumann Competition (Zwickau, Germany), and Chopin Competition ( Warsaw, Poland). Her profound and subtle 1 interpretations have deserved the highest estimation of critics. There are expressions written about Dina's art: "the fascination of a master", "she plays with cool mind, but from warm heart", "Dina's mastery amazes with its with its special interpretation of Chopin, ability to restore its inner depths", "it is not only perfect, irreproachable skill of maestro, first of all it is an amazing poetry of her open soul". Concert activity of Dina is known in many countries. She regularly gives performances in the USA, Japan, France, Russia, Ukraine, Israel, Germany, Hungary. Among the high points of her international career there were concerts with such orchestras as Tel-Aviv Orchestra under Zubin Mehta, the Japanese Radio Orchestra (NHK) under Neville Marriner, the Moscow Philharmonic under Valery Gergiev, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra. During several years she has done teaching within masterclasses in Italy, Ukraine, Germany.
IGOR RYABOV (Ukraine)was bom in 1930- In 1954 he graduated with Honors ' Diploma from Tchaikhovsky State Conservatoire in Moscow. Igor Ryabov is known pianist-teacher. His professionalism, great experience in performing, forty-two years of teaching gave him opportunity to create his own piano school system, to systematize educational process of pianist-musician, to organize masterclasses, to publish methodical elaboration for improvement of educational process. Most of his students became laureates of International Competitions and also successfully perform and work as teachers in many countries of the world, including USA, France, Greece, Poland, Korea, Russia). Together with teaching Igor Ryabov was repeatedly invited to be a Member of the Jury of such International Competitions as Lysenko Competition and others.
Igor Ryabov presented great amount of his own recordings to the funds of Ukrainian National Radio Company, recorded a CD with performing of Bortnyansky quintette.
BERND GOETZKE (Germany)Bernd Goetzke graduated from the Hanover University of Music and Drama, where he was accepted at the age of 13 and studied Piano with Prof. Karl-Heinz Kammerling. Another important phase in his pianist development was his long creative association (1969 to 1977) with great Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli, who regarded him as his last student.
He also participated in Beethoven Master-classes given by Wilhelm Kempff and Claudio Arrau. The pianist was awarded prizes in several international competitions (Paris, Milan, Epinal, Athens, Brussels, etc.). Already at the age of 25 he was offered a job at the Hanover University of Music and Drama and became professor in 1982.He is the Head of the Concert Soloist Program and holds numerous Master Classes in Germany and abroad. Last years he is the Director of a unique educational institution - Institute for highly gifted children attached to the Hanover University of Music and Drama. Bernd Goetzke was invited as jury member of many international competitions, was Artistic Advisor of the festival Braunschweiger Chamber Music Podium and as Chair of a society supporting young artists. Bernd Goetzke gives a lot of concerts as a soloist and as a member of chamber ensembles. Recently his concert repertoire has focused on works of the twentieth century, reflecting his fascination with the stylistic richness and diversity of the period between Late Romanticism and Avantgarde. Bernd Goetzke is the author of several articles on subject related to musicology: Freedom in Interpretation, Pedal Technique, Bach's Melodic Characteristics, Articulation and Phrasing in Classical Music, etc.. VADIM RUDENKO (Russia)Vadim Rudenko graduated from the Central Music School in Moscow as a student of A. Arttobolevska, V.Sukhanov, Prof. D. Bashkirov and Moscow State Conservatoire in class of Prof. S.Dorensky. In 1996 he was conferred Master's degree.
He is a Laureate of the International Competitions: Concertino Prague (Czecho-Slovakia, 1982), Queen Elisabeth (Belgium, 1991), Paloma O'Shea Competition in Santander (Spain, 1992), G.B.Viotti Competition in Vercelli (Italy, 1993), Tchaikovsky Piano Competition in Moscow (Russia, 1998, 2nd prize). Vadim Rudenko, one of the leading pianist-virtuoso, has been touring extensively and given concerts in Russia where he played with the most famous orchestras such as the Moscow Radio Symphony Orchestra; Vladimir Fedosejev, the State Symphony Orchestra; Evgeny Svetlanov, the St.Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra; Yury Temirkanov and many others, as well as in Belgium, Germany, Italy, Spain, Brazil, Japan, Malaysia, Turkey, China, Canada, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Switzerland, Czech, Austria, Poland, France, etc. He performed in such concert halls as Verdi Concert Hall (Milano), Santori Hall (Tokyo), Auditorium (Madrid), Osaka Simphony Hall (Osaka), Palais des Beaux Arts (Brussels), Concertgebouw (Amsterdam), Great Hall of Moscow Conservatoire, Rudolfinum (Prague), Mozarteum (Salzburg), Gaveau (Paris), Great Hall of St.Peterburg Philharmonia, Great Hall of Cologne Philharmonia, De Doelen(Rotterdam) and others. NAMIK SULTANOV (Turkey)Namik Sultanov was born in Baku (Azerbaijan). At the age of 13 he performed Concert ¹1 for piano with orchestra by Tchaikovsky.
He graduated from Tchaikovsky State Concervatory in Moscow, class of Prof. L.Naumov. After postgraduate studies he lectures in Azerbaijan U.Gadzhibekov State Conservatory. He was awarded with title Assistant Professor and honoured title Merited Art Worker of Azerbaijan. From 1975up to 1979 he gave classes of Piano in Algeria Municipal Conservatoire and National Institute of Music. From 1991 he works in Bilkent University (Ankara, Turkey), where he occupies position of the Head of Piano Department and a Deputy Dean at the Faculty of Music and Scene Arts. Among his students there are prize winners of international and national competitions. One of these students is Aysedeniz Gokcin who was awarded with Diploma of the III-rd International Competition for Young Pianists in Memory of Vladimir Horowitz. Namik Sultanov is engaged in permanent concert activity as soloist and being a member of chamber ensemble. He performed in Turkey, Mexico and Algiers. He recorded CD with outstanding Turkish flutist S.Kutlder. VLADIMIR KRAINEV (Russia)was born in 1944 in Krasnoyarsk. Obtained musical education in the following institutions: Kharkov Music School, Central Music School of Moscow Conservatoire (class of Anayida Sumbatyan), Conservatoire of Moscow (class of Heinrich Neuhaus) and post-graduate course in the class of Vladimir Krainev is a laureate of most outstanding International Competitions, such as Lids Competition (England), Lisbon Competition (Portugal) and the IV Tchaikhovsky International Competition in Moscow. The concert activity of Krainev with well known orchestras, conductors and ensembles is known in many countries of the world.
Vladimir Krainev was an initiator of the 1st Competition for Young pianists in Kharkov. In 1992 the 1st International Competition, named after Krainev, took place and in the future this tradition continued, correspondingly 2nd in 1994 and 3rd in 1996. Therefore competition became traditional and now its fame reaches far out of Ukraine.
Creating the Krainev International Charitable fund to help young pianists allowed to provide support to the professional musicians, to help them to find their own direction in art. Currently Vladimir Krainev became a professor of Higher School of Music and Theater in Hanover, Germany.
NORMA FISHER (The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland)Norma Fisher was born in London in the Russian- Polish family. Soon she got recognized for her exceptional musical talent*. At the age of 14 she drew the attention of well known Greek pianist Gina Bachauer, who has facilitated By Norma's following music career. Success came to her at the Busoni International Piano competition and in 1963 she shared the Piano Prize with V. Ashkenazi at the Harriet Cohen International Music Awards. The same year she made her debut at the Proms in the Royal Albert Hall and became a favorite soloist with leading British orchestras including the Philharmonic, London Symphony, BBC Symphony, Halle, Bournemouth Symphony and the City of Birmingham Symphony orchestras. She also gives concerts with Carmina Quartet. Norma Fisher regularly appears with such well known soloists as Steven Isserlis, Gyorgy Pauk, Yossi Zivony, Maurice Hasson, Hu Kun, Grigori Zhislin. Norma Fisher is Associate Board Member of the' Joanna Hodges International Piano Competition in Palm Desert, California and she regularly sits in their Jury. In 1991 she was a Jury member at the Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition in Salt Lake City, USA, and was re-invited in 1993 as Chairman of the Jury. Other Juries include: Sydney IPC, Australia (1992, 1996), Newport IPC, Wales (1991, 1994), Czech Republic IPC (1994) Anglo/Dutch Platform (1996). Her reputation as a teacher is widely established in Britain, Switzerland, Ireland, Canada and the USA, in which her masterclasses took place. She is an Artistic Director of London Masterclasses now.
THERESE DUSSAUT (France)Professor and Administrator of Piano Department in Conservatoire of Toulouse. Therese Dussaut was a Jury member of various International competitions, including Flips Competition in Rotterdam, IX Tchaikhovsky International Competition, M. V. Lysenko Competition in Kiev and many Graduated from Conservatoire of Paris, now she conducts wide concert activity. She received the 1st Prize for performing Piano Chamber Music and got "Master degree* in Shtutghart. Made many CD recordings of herself and works in publishing music works of various composers.
Michael Markov (Holland)Michael Markov graduated from Tchaikovsky State Conservatory in Moscow as a student of Prof.Victor Merzhanov. Michael Markov joins concert activity and pedagogy. He toured in Europe and the CIS. He recorded on Radio and TV of Holland and made CD for "Souny a colors". Many of Michael Markov's students became laureates of national and international competitions. In 1997 Prof. Markov and his students were invited in Paris to participate in concerts of International salon "Music Friday" in hall "Pleiel". Michael Markov was invited to give Master-classes in Royal Conservatory in Hague, Shnitke Music College in Moscow. As performer and tutor he took part in International Music Featival (New York), was a member of Jury of International Pulenku Competition in Nordhorn (Germany). Michael Markov is the Head of "Russian Music Trend in Holland" and Director of International Festival "Days of Russian Music".
Gena Raps (USA)Gena Raps' performances and recordings, particularly of Dvorak and Mozart for Arabesque, have received international praise, "building with quiet majesty" (New York Times). Raps recorded the complete Mozart 4-hand repertoire with Artur Balsam, created and produced the CD "Play Bach!" called "Season's Best" (Sesame Street Parenting Magazine) and was featured on the PBS series, "Women Alive!". Ms. Raps earned her Masters' degree from the Julliard School of Music and has taught at Julliard, Sarah Lawrence College and the Mannes College of Music. She has played solo and chamber music recitals in Merkin Auditorium, Carnegie Recital Hall and Tully Hall and has toured throughout the United States, the Philippines and Europe; her radio and television appearances have been broadcast internationally as well. Raps' newest CD, "Mother Goose and More" for the United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM), narrated by Julie Andrews and Peter Schickele, was released last season; the Ravel, "Mother Goose Suite" is performed by Ms. Raps and Kenneth Cooper. Ms. Raps records for Arabesque and Musical Heritage Society and currently is on the faculty at the Mannes College of Music and the Special Music School of America.
Anatoliy Zatin (Mexico)
Anatoliy Zatin is a pianist, composer, condactor and teacher. He was born in 1954 in Uzhgorod in a family of musicians. He got his musical education at Uzhgorod State Musical High School as a pianist (1977) and at Leningrad State Conservatory as a pianist and composer (1977) and in 1987 graduated from the graduate center as a composer.
The creative heritage of A.Zatin consists of more than 50 pieces of different forms and genres. Among them there are 2 symphonies, opera "Horrible Nightmares in Kherson Province", ballets "Fabric" and "Chief of darkskinned", two operettas, instrumental concertos, pieces for chamber orchestra and ensembles, musical background for cinematography.
In 1979 he joined the Union of Composers of the USSR. The technique of A.Zatin as a composer was several time awarded at different competitions: the 1st prize at the Competition of Young Composers of Ukraine, at the Competition of the Pieces of Theatre and Music in the USSR (1967), the Nina Rota International Competition (Italy, 1989, at the International Festival of Contemporary Music (Korea, 1985) and others.
Anatoliy Zatine works creatively as a teacher. He taught at the Musorgsky Music Academy, from 1992 - 1996 he has hold master classes in piano and conducting in different universities of Mexico, in 1999 - 2000 he was invited to Austria master classes. Since September 1996 he is the General Director of the Zatin International Academy. His students successfully participate at many concerts and competitions.
A repertoire of A.Zatin, pianist and conductor, consists of different epochs and styles including music of the XVIth century as well as modern compositions. He has successfully toured in different countries of the world.
During 1988 - 1991 he made records with Leningrad State Orchestra in "Melodia" Records Co, during 1998 - 1999 "Azura Music" produced a CD of world classics under A.Zatin.
In 1990 Anatoliy Zatin received an Honour Medal from the UNECEF for his concert activity.
Accompanist ClassNataliya Kozina (Ukraine)Nataliya Kozina graduated from Novosybirsk and Kyiv Conservatories, post-graduate studies in Accompanying and Chamber Orchestra in Moscow Gnesinykh Music Pedagogical Institute. She studied with such outstanding pianists of the USSR as Zanger, Bashkirov, Topilin, Belov, Oleksandrov, accompanist Miron Polyakin, Dombayev. Nataliya Kozina performed with famous musicians in Ukraine, the CIS and abroad. She accompanied cellists Chervov, Chaikovska, violinists Gorokhov, Buchynska, Vynokuriv, vocalists Mayboroda, Petrynenko, Voynarovska. Nowadays Nataliya Kozina works as concertmaster and tutor of Accompanying in National Tchaikovsky Music Academy of Ukraine.
Anatoliy Ilyin (Ukraine) Anatoliy Ilyin graduated from Piano Department of the National Tchaikovsky Music Academy of Ukraine, where he studied with Professor Sergiy Skrynchenko (specialty), Professor Yakov Fastovsky (chamber ensemble), Professor Oleksandr Inozemtsev (accompanist class). As an accompanist he had worked at the Department of Solo singing and Choral conducting of National Tchaikovsky Music Academy of Ukraine. Since 1980 he has been a teacher of Accompanist Department of the National Tchaikovsky Music Academy of Ukraine.
Anatoliy Ilyin has more than 50 graduating students working at the Opera theaters, concert institutions and educational institutions of Ukraine and abroad. He has worked with many prominent singers of Ukraine, among them Lyudmyla Yurchenko, People's Artist of Ukraine; Ivan Chanchenko, Honoured Artist of Ukraine; Ganna Yarysh, soloist of Kyiv Philharmonic; Ursula Ferri, famous Switzerland singer, and others. He has toured in Ukraine, Germany, Switzerland, France, Portugal; has many archival records on Ukrainian radio and TV.
ViolinVictor Abramian (Russia)Victor Abramian graduated from Tchaikovsky State Conservatory in Moscow as a student of Prof. D.Tzyganov.
He is engaged in permanent concert activity. As soloist and being a member of chamber orchestra "Premier-trio" he toured in Russia, Germany, Austria, Japan, France, Spain, Finland, Croatia and Cyprus.
Victor Abramian has the diploma of International Festival in Spain.
He recorded 4 CDs in the USA, Austria and Russia. His concert activity is combined with lecturing in Moscow Tchaikovsky State Conservatory.
Mark Lakirovich (USA)Mark Lakirovich - Elaine Kaufman Cultural Center, New York, USA. Born in Baku, Azerbaijan. Bohodar Kotorovych (Ukraine)Bohodar Kotorovych, a student of one of the most outstanding teachers of our time, professor Y.Yankelevich, is the leading violinist of Ukraine. He was born in the settlement of Hrubeshov (Poland) and spent his childhood and youth in Lviv (Ukraine). In 1969 he finished his postgraduate studies at the Moscow State Conservatoire and ever since has been living and working in Kyiv.
B.Kotorovych has won general acclaim and popularity with the public as a performer of a great variety of works by Paganini, including the ones that are rarely performed, and as an interpreter of the music by Vivaldi and Bach. Many modern Ukrainian composers have created their musical pieces especially for B.Kotorovych taking into account his individual performing style (M.Skoryk, Y.Stankovych, V.Gubarenko, V.Bibik, L.Kolodub, etc). He successfully toured in Germany, Canada, Italy, Holland, England, Croatia, Macedonia, France, South Korea and Australia.
B.Kotorovych combines his widespread concert activity with teaching. His students have been winners at the international competitions, such as the Wieniawski Competition in Poland, the Menuhin in London, the Paganini in Italy, the Oistrakh in Odessa, the Zabaleta in San-Sebastian and Caltanisetta Competition in Italy.
About the authority of B.Kotorovych in the musical world proves the fact that he has been often a jury member at famous international competitions held in Munich, Moscow, Genoa, Odense, the Hague, Ottawa, Gorizia, Sendai and Warsaw.
In March 1999 the Mayor of the city of Genoa by a special flight has brought to Kyiv the Paganini's violin - "Cannon" by Guarneri del Gesu for two concerts of B.Kotorovych. These two concerts that were held in the best halls in Kyiv were a real triumph.
Upon the results of creative activity B.Kotorovych received "The Person of the Year" award in 1999.
CelloVladimir Panteleyev (USA)Cellist Vladimir Panteleyev received his Master Degree in 1971. From 1977 to 1980, he studied at the Moscow State Conservatory and obtained his Doctorate in Chamber Music. Between 1976 and 1991 he serves as Professor of Cello and String Quartet at the Kiev Conservatory. He was a member of Jury of Cello and Chamber Music Competitions. Many of his soloists, orchestra and chamber players in different parts of the world.
In 1971 he co-founded the Leontovych String Quartet, which became a winner of the Leo Weiner International String Quartet Competition in Budapest and appeared in major international festivals and concert halls through the former Soviet Union, Eastern Europe, Germany and Italy.
And 1988 the Leontovych String Quartet made its American debut and took up residence in the United States in 1991. As a member of the Leontovych String Quartet he has concertized throughout he U.S. appearing in most major American cities including Washington, Boston, Chicago, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, and New York, where he has played at the United Nations'Merkin Concert Hall, the Frick Collection and Carnegie's Weill Recital Hall. He also performed at the Newport, Houston, Victoria and Lincoln Center's "Mostly Mozart's Music Festival"as well as Connecticut's Music Mountain Festival.
Vladimir Panteleyev recently appeared as soloist with many other chamber groups performing solo recitals and held numerous Master classes. He was named the Outstanding Artist of Ukraine and was awarded the Lysenko Prize.
Music TheoryOlena Shvetsova (Ukraine)Olena Shevtsova graduated from R.M.Glier Kyiv State Higher Music College), and Tchaikovsky State Concervatory of Ukraine, Music Theory Department. She learned with outstanding teachers of music theory - Professors Nina Gerasimova-Persydska, Nadiya Goryukhina, Vsevolod Zaderatskiy, Glib Vinogradov, Yevgeniya Stolova, Frida Aerova and well-known composers - Vitaliy Kyreiko, and Levko Kolodub. For 30 years she has been a teacher of theoretical disciplines at the R.M.Glier Kyiv State Higher Music College, since 1982 - the Head of the Theoretical Department.
Among her numerous students there are composers, conductors, musicologists, performers, who obtains the recognition in Ukraine and abroad, teachers of musical institutions.
Olena Shvetsova is an author of scientific articles, method book, a great number of her own music materials at solfeggio, music theory, harmony, etc.
She successfully combines teaching with educational activity. She pays much attention to all-round professional development of young musicians, quality of their hearing and theoretical preparation, development of their creative abilities.
Since 1983 she organizes and holds every year theoretical contests and various creative competitions among students of children's schools in Kyiv, where she is the permanent Chairman of Jury. During 15 years she holds the Competition for Young Composers among the students of R.M.Glier KSHMC, creating excellent conditions for all-round enrichment and determination of future talented composers and performers. Olena Shvetsova is the Head of Music Theory Section in Kyiv(from 1982) and permanent member of commission of experts attached to Ministry of Culture and Arts of Ukraine (from 1977). She actively propagates her own professional experience all over Ukraine and abroad (Poland). She gives lectures and open lessons, prepares students for participation in international competitions of theorists and composers (Russia, Byelorussia, Norway).
She is the Honoured Teacher of People's Education of Ukraine and has honorary awards of Kyiv State Administration.
